Hi there! This was my first
Children's Church Lesson. It happened to be the Sunday before Palm
Sunday. I'm only posting them to see how things turn out but also in case someone else wanted to use them for anything. Feel Free!
Bare with my outlines. I've been practicing my notes different ways.
_____
Greetings (My name is Reggie) How are you this
morning?
We’ve
been reading John with SPECIAL friends. (Some friends from the church, including
the pastor
and person that usually does Children’s Church are away on a mission trip and
we’ve been doing
a Bible Study on the book of John.)
a. Coming
up on Palm & Easter Sunday now (So are the chapters we’re reading.)
Do you know what
happened before Palm Sunday in all of those chapters?
a. Jesus was with people performing miracles.
Here are some of them:
a. He helped
the Samaritan woman C4
b. He Healed
a lame man C5
c. He fed
thousands with just a few loafs of bread C6
d. He healed
a blind man and gave him sight.C9
e. He raised
Lazarus from the dead. C11
Tell
- Every miracle that Jesus performed, people got excited. Some got upset but
usually the people that saw or felt Jesus do something couldn’t wait to go tell
someone about what was done and how they met. Talking about what God is
doing in our lives is called 2 different things.
a. Witnessing
– Like our friends in Cuba.
b. Sharing
our Testimony
Witnessing and sharing our testimony are very
important things because it helps others learn about God if they didn’t already
know him.
a. Philemon –
Says that sharing your testimony helps to make your faith complete.
b. Revelations –
Says that sharing your testimony helps defeat the devil.
Challenge – I challenge you this week to look for someone that you can
share your experiences with.
Prayer - Dear Father, Thank you for being so close and personal with each
of us. Help us be excited about spending time with you. Give us each a
testimony & the courage to witness to others. Make our joy complete and let
it be contagious to others. Bless & protect each of us on our way.
