A Thousand Things To Love

I love ice cream and the smell of puppy breath and a newborn baby’s bald little head. The sound of the first chickadees of spring. A completely cloudless and starry night. A slight breeze and a good poem. I love being a wife. A woman. A mother. –And anything that helps me be them confidently, boldly, softly.

To create= Life and Art and Music with my hands and mouth and mind. To see (and benefit from) someone else creating the same.

The sound of quiet.

And I love my friends. I love "hope-filled" and God. -Being moved to flat out awe- I love dinner at a table and a late night talk. I love my bed and then waking before everyone else and the.FIRST.cup.of.coffee. I love these disgusting soggy cheese sandwiches I’ve eaten since I was a child. I love going HOME and a walk in the woods. A long drive with the windows down and a radio that drowns out my yelling the words. A good hug and a belly laugh …until you cry. Brussels sprouts. Corny jokes. And….

Sometimes you have to look for it. Sometimes you have to create it. But I hope that your day is chock full-

…of your loves.
